DTF Film Pattern Customization
The process of using custom DTF Film involves the following steps:
Design: Create or obtain the desired design or graphic that you want to transfer onto the fabric. This can be done using graphic design software or by working with a graphic designer.
Cutting: The design is typically cut out of the DTF Film using a cutting machine or plotter. The machine follows the outlines of the design and cuts through the vinyl material while leaving the backing intact.
Weeding: After cutting, the excess vinyl around the design needs to be removed. This process is called weeding and is done using a weeding tool to carefully lift and remove the unwanted vinyl pieces.
Application: Place the design on the fabric or surface with the adhesive side down. Use a heat press machine, iron, or heat transfer tool to apply heat and pressure to the design. The heat activates the adhesive, causing it to bond with the fabric or surface.
Peel: Once the heat transfer is complete and the vinyl has cooled down, carefully peel off the backing material. The design should remain on the fabric, adhered firmly.
Custom DTF Film offers various advantages, including:
Versatility: It can be used on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, blends, and even some non-fabric materials like ceramics or wood.
Customization: You have the freedom to create unique designs or patterns to personalize your clothing or products.
Durability: High-quality DTF Films can withstand regular washing and wear without peeling or fading.
Cost-effective: Custom DTF Film is often a more affordable option compared to other methods of garment customization, such as screen printing or embroidery.
