Brief introduction of heat transfer PET Film

Heat transfer PET Film is a kind of composite material, which is mainly used to meet the needs of end customers for personalized hot stamping on clothes, glasses, mobile phones and so on. After the end customer chooses to customize the favorite pattern, peel the release film attached to the hot melt adhesive coating, attach the pattern to the substrate such as clothes, glasses, etc., and transfer the pattern to printed on the substrate.

PET film is a non-absorbent base material. If the water-based digital printing process is performed directly on PET film, there will be technical problems such as poor ink absorption, ink flowing everywhere, and poor pattern quality. Therefore, if you want to do water-based digital printing on PET film, it must be surface modified to change it from a non-absorbent substrate to an absorbent substrate that can absorb water-based inks.

After coating a layer of white matte ink-absorbing paint on non-absorbent film, glass, metal, etc., after drying at room temperature or drying at high temperature, a uniform and stable layer of water-based digital ink-absorbing paint will be formed on the surface of the substrate layer.

The coating can better absorb water-based digital printing ink, whether it is pigment ink or dye ink, prevent ink from flowing, improve pattern quality, and accelerate ink curing time
Therefore, the production process of heat transfer PET film is:
1. Coating and curing a layer of silicone release layer on PET
2. On the release layer, apply a layer of ink-absorbing coating with a knife coater, and dry and solidify to form a water-based ink-absorbing layer
3. Water-based digital printing pattern on the water-based digital ink-absorbing layer
4. Carry out hot melt adhesive construction on the printed pattern, and form a hot melt adhesive adhesive layer after high temperature curing
5. On the hot melt adhesive layer, compound a layer of release film
6. The end customer tears off the release film, and performs a hot pressing process on the clothes, and the pattern transfer is completed.

Compared with other thermal transfer printing methods, water-based digital printing DTF Film has the following performance advantages:
1. The printing pattern is more personalized, and customers can customize their favorite patterns at low cost. The pattern design can be completed simply by editing in the computer, without complex, inefficient and high-cost pattern design costs such as opening the net and making plates.
2. The water-based digital printing method uses water as a solvent, which is more environmentally friendly and complies with the development trend of environmental protection
3. The pattern has good flexibility, and it is more mature and comfortable to use on clothes
4. The general water-based digital inkjet printers on the market can be used without the need for high-cost professional industrial printers, and the terminal cost is even lower.
