Three major parameters of thermal transfer to create perfect hot stamping effect

In the heat transfer printing process, in order to obtain the ideal hot stamping effect, we must strictly control the optimal temperature, pressure and speed of hot stamping. Every detail is crucial. Let me explain in detail how to determine the indicators of these three process parameters.

1 Determination of temperature: It should be noted that if the temperature is too low, the hot stamping may not be firm or the imprint may bloom; while the temperature may be too high, the surface of the color layer may be oxidized, the color of the product may darken, or even bubble. The general range of hot stamping temperature is between 140℃-180℃. The key is to keep the temperature constant, and the temperature difference is best controlled within ±2℃.

2. Determination of pressure: The ideal hot stamping pressure is about 4-6kgcm2. Too little pressure will affect the adhesion between the hot stamping film and the substrate, and too much pressure may cause the substrate to deform. “Especially when hot stamping complex products, special attention must be paid to the uniformity of the pressure and the correct pressure angle between the hot stamping wheel and the substrate.

3. Determination of speed: This parameter should be determined based on the hot stamping area and heating temperature power. The usual sequence is to determine velocity first, then pressure, and finally temperature.

The above are the three major process parameters of heat transfer film hot stamping. If you master these, the hot stamping effect of your products will be greatly improved.
